Custom Vibrant Tones

In this tutorial you will teach you how to how to create custom tones for the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant. With this tutorial you will be able to change the Alarm, Notification, Ringtone, and ui sounds. Follow this simple tutorial and learn how.

Create the folder structure in windows shown below. Right click on your desktop and create new folders.

The next step is setting up the phone so you can upload the folders. We need to turn Debugging on.

Click on Setting

Click on Applications

Click on Development

Check debugging

Plug the usb cord into your pc and the phone, when you do that you will get the message show below.

Click on USB Connected

Click Mount, this will make the phones SD card and internal memory available in windows. Open the SD card and place the folders you created earlier into the main directory.

With that browse to the folder below, we will replace the Text Messaging Tone.

I like using this site http://www.zedge.net/ its simple and to the point. Download a tone that you like in .mp3 format and drag it into the Notifications folder.
